A planning application for a residential development of up to 165 dwellings off Lambs Road was refused by Wyre Planning Department early in 2015. The developers have appealed.
In March 2016 it was announced there will be an Inquiry for appeal which will take place on Tuesday 26th July 2016 to Thursday 28th inclusive. Opening at 10.00am at the Civic Centre, Breck Rd, Poulton le Fylde, FY6 7AQ. (venue may change at Councils discretion)

Please   see the Proof of Evidence submitted by TAG to the Planning Inspectorate for the Inquiry into the proposal to develop 165 houses on Lamb's Road. This in effect replaces the Statement of Case previously submitted.

Next meeting Wednesday 19th October 2016 at 7.15pm, at Thornton Methodist Church, Victoria Rd East, Thornton.

What is TAG?

Thornton Action Group was formed in December 2001 by a group of Thornton residents in response to the concerns of the scale of housing developments and related issues such as traffic and drainage which are affecting our community. TAG is a group of people who give up their time freely for the benefit of Thornton.

The purpose of the Action Group is to:

Keep the residents of Thornton informed about proposals affecting their environment.
Seek the views of residents concerning these proposals.
Act as a channel of communication between the residents and the appropriate bodies involved in the proposals.

To undertake particular projects for the community that are not otherwise being provided for and to support the community projects of others.
